Stayed at the Navajo Nation Inn - room was clean, restaurant was ok.
There is a
museum close to the inn. Be sure to scan the radio
for stations
using the Navajo language.
This is the capital of the Navajo reservation, and located near the AZ/NM
border.
The day after these pictures were shot, there was a large ceremony for Pfc. Lori
Ann Piestewa who was killed in Iraq during March 2003. She was part Navajo
and Hopi.
