Chaco Canyon
in New Mexico
April 2003
After Mesa Verde, we stayed the Comfort Inn in Farmington, NM. This
motel was comfortable,
and priced correctly. An added benefit was free, high-speed Internet
access in the lobby.
We took the northern route from Farmington, NM to Chaco Canyon. The
road was dirt, and while
we had four wheel drive, we didn't need it. Over
half the cars in the visitor center parking lot were "family cars".
Watch
for flash floods, take your time, and you'll be rewarded.
These ruins were created by the Anasazi, and used by many
different peoples in the southwest.
